Keurig Dr Pepper’s November 3 earnings release details cash generation alongside substantial financing obligations. For the first nine months of 2026, operating cash flow was $2.220 billion. Subtracting $457 million of property, plant and equipment purchases and adding $145 million of disposal proceeds produces KDP’s reported non-GAAP free cash flow of $1.908 billion.
Common cash dividends of $938 million leave a calculated $970 million difference against that free-cash-flow measure. This is before other financing uses, including $107 million of preferred dividends, $64 million of distributions to non-controlling interests and $146 million of finance-lease payments. Excluding property-disposal proceeds, operating cash flow less PP&E purchases was $1.763 billion; this is a separate calculation, not KDP’s defined free cash flow.
At September 30, KDP reported $1.290 billion of cash and cash equivalents and $7.270 billion of short-term borrowings and the current portion of long-term obligations. That balance-sheet classification alone does not establish individual repayment dates.
The near-term question is how much cash remains after distributions and other commitments as the company works toward its planned separation. The release supports a cash-coverage observation, not a dividend-safety guarantee.
